Emission Control

The Emission Control Division of GEA offers tailored, innovative system solutions directly to producers or through general contractors of complete plants mainly for five industries:

  • Non-ferrous Metallurgy
  • Chemistry / FCC
  • Iron and Steel
  • Cement
  • Glass

The Emission Control Division boasts a wide technology spectrum. This includes dust collection, dry and wet processes for removing gaseous pollutants from process gases, separating heavy metals, abating acid gas, dioxins and furans and other emission-relevant offgas components as well as add-on technologies such as briquetting of the separated iron-containing dusts and recycling to the converter process according to the so-called Lurgi-Thyssen (LT) Steel Gas process. The long list of numerous reference plants bears evidence to customer satisfaction.

The consistent advancement of proven, durable technologies, with high degrees of separation with low operation and maintenance costs, contributes to strengthen the leading position at the world market.
